Mai Kapuaoihilani Mei Lin Hall was born and raised in Kalihi, O’ahu. A Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) who enjoys hiking and foraging with her two children, she keeps Hawaiian traditions alive by practicing Lā’au lapa’au (healing through plant medicine), Ho’oponopono (traditional conflict resolution and setting things right), hula (dance), and mele (song).
