Midy Aponte-Vargas is the Founder and CEO of Civil Strategies, a national advisory systems design and advocacy communciations firm that helps nonprofit and philanthropic institutions build the internal coherence to do lasting work. She served as Founding Executive Director of the American Latino Heritage Fund at the National Park Foundation from 2011 to 2014, appointed by Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar under the Obama administration.
