Omar Freilla

Omar Freilla is a Black Dominican Bronx native, co-founder of Collective Diaspora, a new global community of Black cooperatives and Black-led cooperative support organizations. He is also a cooperative development consultant, adjunct lecturer at the City College of New York, 2022 Echoing Green Fellow, and founder of Green Worker Cooperatives, where he served as executive director for over 17 years, founding the Co-op Academy, the nation’s first worker cooperative business accelerator.
