Rose Hendricks is a researcher at the FrameWorks Institute, where she studies public thinking about social and scientific issues and tests frames that improve communications about those issues. As a cognitive scientist, Rose is an expert in the relationship between metaphor and thinking. Prior to joining FrameWorks, she has studied how metaphors for cancer, such as “battle” and “journey,” affect how people think about their experience with the disease. She earned a BS in cognitive science from Vassar College and a PhD in cognitive science from the University of California at San Diego.
