Tamieka Atkins

Tamieka Atkins is the chief executive officer of ProGeorgia, a nonpartisan coalition of 61 organizations working across all 159 Georgia counties. She's led the coalition for nearly a decade, growing it from 13 partners and helping build Georgia's election protection work into a statewide operation. Before ProGeorgia, she founded the Atlanta chapter of the National Domestic Workers Alliance. She serves on the board of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation and is a Certified Impact Philanthropy Advisor. In 2025 she received the Power Building Award from Grantmakers for Southern Progress. She writes about coalition governance and the conditions of nonprofit work at tamiekawrites.substack.com. She lives in Atlanta with her two children.
