Trisha Moquino is from the Pueblo villages of Cochiti, Ohkay Owhingeh, and Kewa, in New Mexico. She is the founder of Keres Children's Learning Center in Cochiti Pueblo, NM, which opened in Partnership with the Pueblo de Cochiti Tribal council as a 501c3 in 2006. She is a wife, mother, auntie, godmother, community member, and a constant cheerleader. Moquino did her schooling in her villages’ local public schools, earned her bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Stanford University, her Master’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of New Mexico, and completed her Montessori Elementary I certification at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies and her Primary training with United Montessori Association.
