Going Pro-Black: Call for Pitches
ART: DETAILS OF “NEW ERA” BY CARLOS GÁMEZ DE FRANCISCO/WWW.CARLOSGÁMEZDEFRANCISCO.COM

Accompanying the launch of our new Racial Justice Magazine Issue on “Building Pro-Black Organizations” (Spring 2022), NPQ announces a call for pitches. Please send us your ideas for building pro-Black systems in the nonprofit sector and beyond.

It’s high time we focus squarely on the goal and stop talking around it. We’re moving beyond DEI (bodies at the table), racial equity (measuring POC against white people), and perhaps even racial justice (the righting of racial wrongs), to an actual focus on what Black people need to thrive: building pro-Black organizations.

We welcome pitches for articles of around 200 words, with a clear vision of the piece or project, why it matters, and why we should publish it. You can learn more about what kinds of articles we publish, submission guidelines, and contact information here.

Submit your pitch below or email it directly to [email protected] with the subject line “Pro-Black Pitch.”
