    There is absolutely nothing wrong with using Renewal Notice on a direct mail fundraising appeal. This author has zero evidence that it doesn’t work, and he has zero evidence that it hurts retention. That’s because it probably does get a high response rate, and because it is a renewal of support, it probably improves long-term retention too. I applaud the Alzheimer’s Association for refusing to be drawn into a stupid argument with this guy and his trolls.
