To Whom Is National PTA More Accountable: Parents or the Gates Foundation?

Why would an organization whose mission is “to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children” oppose the right of parents to advocate for children? NPTA’s stance on testing and a parent’s right to “opt out” raises this troubling question.
