August 2, 2010; Source: Publishers Weekly | The publishing component of Fieldstone Alliance will have a new home this week—at Turner Publishers. The group was one of a few regular book publishers for nonprofit managers. Fieldstone ran into financial difficulties early in the recession. “The acquisition includes existing inventory, publishing agreements and related intellectual property for more than 50 business management titles geared towards helping nonprofit, community, funders, government and business leaders improve their communities.” Turner sees the line as the way to open up a new market. We are pleased to see that the publishing component has a new home because Fieldstone has been an important part of the infrastructure for nonprofits.—Ruth McCambridge
